Andradil
In what seemed like an instant the Sands were a blur of activity. The Sunlance finished rooting through the boys and seemed to find none of them to her liking and started off for the girls before pausing to look back, as though foreshadowing what was to come. A darkblue came spilling from its shell. It's was small, and undeniably adorable, and certainly a dragon with a personality to be expected. But a bit small for his liking, it would be strange, climbing atop a dragon smaller than a brown... He nearly sunk into himself when suddenly a vengeful demon seemed to appear on the Sands.
A black dragonet had burst from his shell, and missing the 'slight' the darkblue gave him, Andradil assumed he had decided to pounce upon the slightly older DarkBlue. He winced, a fight between dragons was not a pretty sight and he almost expected one of them to go Between before the Clutchmother intervened. He gave a sigh of relief. How could he have thought the Rainbow would allow her first babies to kill one another? He was so distracted by the approaching black dragonet that he was knocked by a stray tail as the Sunset bounced through the candidates. He sucked in his breath with a hiss as he glanced down at his legs. Lifting the bottom of his robes to his knee he frowned. That would be a nasty bruise later.
Looking back up he saw the Black dragonet before one of the other boys. A newer arrival if memory served him. He would have to remember to watch out for those two, should he be as lucky as they to Impress. Speaking of- He turned his attentions back to the sands where the DarkBlue now rested by her mother, looking no worse for the wear, considering she had just been attacked by her sibling, and the neon Purple was still just.. waiting. The Sunlance seemed relieved at her sister's well-being, and well... The Sunset was being a sunset.
Then he surveyed the eggs once more. 5 Hatched, 4 more to go. Only one Impressed, so that left him with good odds, he reasoned, though his heart sank as the thoughts of being left Standing, unsuitable for a second chance, crept into his mind- and the consequences that might follow. Once again he had to shake his head, cringing as the welt on his leg twinged with his movements. Happy thoughts. Happy thoughts. He reminded himself again. Depression did not lead to Impression. Stupid rhymes and their catchyness...

K'ris
The Harper looked up from his note taking just in time to see the little black burst from his shell, roaring into the world, to attack a DarkBlue dragonet (Shells! He'd missed that one. Pay attention then. She was very cute in her arrival. Shaking off her egg-goop.). He held his breath as the two tousled, not letting it out until the Rainbow had finally broken up the fight and the two had gone their own way, barely scratched for all the excitement. He jotted his notes real quick before looking back in time to see the Sunset hatch, not even missing a beat before hurrying off into the candidates and taking a few of them off guard. And the Black hatchling found his Rider! K'ris was glad to see that one off the Sands. Maybe some food would calm the fires.
He surveyed the rest of the hatchlings. The Neon Purple, a creature he would think to be frolicking among the candidates with its Sunset sibling, was still sitting beside its mother, almost feline like in its patience. The Sunlance was watching it's DarkBlue sibling with obvious concern until it went to relax beside the Rainbow mother, then it visibly relaxed.
Well now, this was certainly an exciting Hatching already. Let us hope that it doesn't keep the angry theme, though. K'ris nodded in agreement, attentive to each of the Hatchlings and the remaining 5 eggs. He didn't want to miss anything else.
